These alembic stills are meticulously handcrafted and soldered by oxyacetylene combining durability with the true beauty of copper; they are not only functional but a beautiful addition to any home or business. The design is solid and based on sound distillation principles. Our particular concern has been to craft a top quality distillation tool in compliance with the highest food grade standards. All materials used in the fabrication of these pieces must conform strictly to these standards including our solder. We use brass solder or lead-free tin solder to connect the parts of the alembic together, no harmful or significant traces of heavy metals such as lead or cadmium are detectable. The simple and practical design of our alembics makes it easy to learn the art of distillation and to make steady progress from beginner to a master distiller.

TREATMENT: A first cleaning distillation is essential to clean impurities and other unwanted substances. These substances, which are inherent to copper, are deposited after the still has not been in use for a relatively long period of time.
